About the Boards

Chessboards are made of a combination of domestic and exotic hardwoods. Made over the course of about two weeks, each board uses up to 1200 individual pieces of wood to create a trompe l'oeil or "fool the eye" 3d effect. The playing surfaces and dimensions of each board are up to regulation standards.
